Some interesting stats, since we're waiting for top-off of the core (and I'm bored on a Sunday morning):

The core has been rising a floor every 4.3 days since the top of the forms were covering the fifth floor.

The core has been rising a floor every 4.0 days since they started bracketing the cranes to the steel. Before that, the cranes could only rise so far, without the steel catching up to the core. And the core can't rise if the cranes aren't high enough.

The core has been rising a floor every 3.4 days since we've gone to a reduced core.

Sometime today or tomorrow, the forms will rise one more floor, leaving us with 7 floors remaining (including the four floors for the mechanical penthouse).

So, 7 x 3.4 = 24 days remaining for core top-off.

Great job SoCal Alan, you have pretty much correctly projected this all year along! It always helps when you actually use data/facts. Thank you!

Great job on your calculations. There is forecast of some heavy rain on Friday and more rain maybe into next week. Wonder if that will slow down construction dramatically.

I always felt like SF has a more impressive skyline than LA's. There are actually more high rise buildings taller 400 feet in SF than LA.
