Great photos. Looks like it won't be long that the Salesforce Tower tops out. I wish they would have had a observation deck for this building. Just too bad it doesn't.

Yeah, I'm still scratching my head about it. An observation deck in the tallest building in one of America's most scenic cities, which isn't already served by one, built on top of a transit hub in the middle of its busiest tourist zone...? What's to think about?

Fortunately, while it's not in the works currently, an observation desk isn't so hard to add retroactively -- just look at the US Bank Tower's new multi-floor observation deck and dining space.

We might have to wait until Salesforce eventually vacates those top executive floors, but the hard part (constructing a supertall tower in the first place) is already done.

I'm just speculating here but maybe there isn't enough room for it at the top or I could be wrong.

Not sure, even if there would be space, since this is an office tower, you would need a dedicated elevator with a dedicated entrance to the elevator/observation deck. Not sure that could be retrofitted without disrupting the business of Salesforce.

Salesforce doesn't deserve this tower in the first place.

While its true San Francisco has no observation deck on its tallest buildings, I guess you haven't tried the ole Westin St Francis Hotel elevator trick wherein you go into the hotel, pretend to be a guest (if you are not), ride the scenic elevator and take pretty pictures of the SF cityscape, eh?

Pfft...if its weren't for Salesforce, this tower wouldn't exist...

To be fair, practically every corner in San Francisco is an observation deck. I still go to Coit Tower every time I go there just to check the skyline.

Also, only aerials does SF's skyline justice.
