What does this mean? Did they overcharge you?

Haha, oh I most definitely have! When I was younger, my mom got put up in the St Francis whenever she had to stay in the city, and that was my favorite thing about going to visit. If I had my way, every tower would have glass elevators (not just for the views, but because I am fairly claustrophobic).

You're right, there are astounding views on basically every hilltop, but what's missing is a high vantage point in the middle of the downtown skyscrapers -- the top of the Marriott is probably the closest thing, but it's still mostly hemmed in by the other SoMa buildings.

Also, only aerials does SF's skyline justice.
They're definitely the best, but since I don't have personal access to a plane or helicopter, I'll take the top of a supertall in a heartbeat!

that last photo is outstanding, a crisp, clear, winter day, that allows for the towers to be seen in there true color variation, i am a little surprized at how much this tower will dominate the skyline, as well as change the axis of the skyline,

but i was also reflecting on the Transamerica, and the Bank of America tower of late, both of these buildings dominated the skyline for over 44 years,

i am sure of one thing, i will be impressed by this new one, coming into the city on the 101 north, what a shot!!

He's referring to the core I think. Looks like it is. Or is the scaffolding just not set up for the next jump?

I think it is topped out in terms of the core only.

Another gorgeous photo. I have read that the Oceanwide Center is going to break ground this December and that will add to the increasingly great skyline of SF in a couple of years.

^thanx,

i was not aware of the existence of OCEANWIDE Project. Now i know !!

Great project, SF is really going through a deep revitalization of its skyline : a long overdue, especially if you consider the huuuuge boom in highrises in GULF and CHINESE Cities those past 15 years !!!

What's next in the US : SEATTLE, HOUSTON , DALLAS ? ATL ?
