I wonder why the floors are so tall? Most buildings that height have more than 61 floors.

It is imposing, in a good way. It also illustrates how squat the skyline was due to regulations.

In my opinion, it was always a top 10 skyline in North America since the 1980s. The regulations just wouldn't allow them to build anything taller than 600 feet for a while. Now, the regulations are relaxed and it is great to see. Wish they could have another building over 1000 feet tall someday.

SF skyline has always been under rated to me because of all the earthquake concerns it could be a top 5 skyline

after these 2 are done SF is def above cities like Dallas and Sydney and Melbourne

I'm from Miami and even though Miami has many more towers over 500 ft.| 152 meters, I don't think it's better.
San Francisco's skyline is absolutely stunning with its surrounding landscape of the Bay, the bridges and the hills.

The Salesforce tower has transformed the skyline.

Wow it seems that Sales Force Tower is going to finish first the race to the smaller (but still imposing) 181 Fremont.

No, I think 181 Fremont will still finish before Salesforce Tower. But, it be like 2 or 3 months apart, so it won't be by a lot.

Ah yes, I can still remember people frothing at the mouth about how slow it started...moving fast enough for ya now?

Spending a lot of time on a very solid foundation is a very smart investment that pays back big time in the long-term. Consider the Millennium tower situation where they took short-cuts with the foundation

I said this earlier - Salesforce Tower is a reminder that aethestically SF could easily absorb a couple of 1500 plus footers.
