Careful there, lest you want to upset Vancouverites and Torontonians, coz their cities get assigned making more of Hollywood's productions than Montreal does.

I was alluding to Quebec's (flirtatious) film directors (they're top-notch).

I don't care where this is built it just has to be built.
Thanks for the link. Great animes!

SOM has got it right with the entrance/transport hub with its huge vaulted ceilings, in the tradition of grand train station terminals while acting as a huge lobby area for the tower. Perfect!

The tower itself - majestic. Strong but graceful and not just another twisting tower. That's iconic!

It does share similarities with SOM's ShanghaI Center, also beautiful.

I guess it matters where it is built though. lol

What does that mean?? that you don't like skyscrapers??? then WHY are you here??? If you don't like skyscrapers then you should just go somewhere else, like, www.canadalovesthequeen.com or www.allthegaycanadians.org..

P.S. it is not an insult to homosexuals, nor do the websites exist, but I'm sure you can find something of the sort...

And please, never infer LA into the same sentence with Montréal with me, coz I don't like the former, which is wholly suburban in nature while the latter's utterly urban . . .

Well only certain sections of LA are urban and getting better more people are starting to live downtown. The place where I live is super suburban sprawl central.

BTW I was in Montreal about 8 years ago, and I seem to remember some sprawleynesses also. When I visited the downtown, it was quite urban, but I remember where I was staying at a holiday inn and I was doing a job at CAE in St. Laurent??? It was november and quite nippy (freezey). There was an IKEA somewhere there, and this is the area that was quite suburban to me. I also remember, this is silly that the chocolate milk was the most delicious that I ever chugged!!

I have skimmed through the thread, including the recent spamming, but I couldn't see when or how which design will be chosen. Pardon if it has been posted before.

At this stage I'm hoping the SOM beauty is successful.

Wow -- I can hardly believe that my posting yesterday responding to the latest, risen points has been outright ditched . . . too toothily truthful truthiness for ya, eh?
