I agree with you on this. SOM was a beauty, but this one is also very nice.

just so we can wait to get something decent. I really hope something happens to put an end to this mess, so they can start over from the begenning. if Pelli gets constructed that will be a trajedy. it doesn't even look like a Trains Station more like a suburban mall. give it to Fresno or Palmdale for there station.

I've got to agree on the fact that Pelli's plan looks like to damn many of his other buildings, now if it resembled the tower he did in Minniapolis, (i think it was called the Norwest tower) i could go for that, but this design, without looking closer at the skyline, i'd find myself saying, "look at this skyline, is it Hong Kong,....... no wait,.... Santiago,..... no, Charlotte,.... no, Jersey City.................................................

So Horrible, yet so funny.

I'm really pissed that Pelli's was picked, I feel sorry for SF, they really missed out. Atleast the building will have some class in it's design(albeit borrowed from other important skylines), it could have been the one monstrosity out of the bunch.

we may be stuck withit for 100 years. SF is one of the few great cities that does not have a rail terminal. even LA has Union Station.

The Park is beautiful. Although the building and Terminal are not awe inspiring - the project is great. I know people are diappointed because SOM looked like it had a chance to be awe inspiring - but come on folks! This project is going to lead San Francisco into the 21st century.

The tower does not look the least bit forward when it's replicating Pelli's designs from the 90s.

Skyman the Jingaling Hotel is not the same design. While it may use similar twisting components the shape is completely different as is the facade.

I'm sorry but in this world money talks so tough luck.

SF's always struck me as the continent's most conservative place....................this is why it reckons it must prop struts, to make up for what it could never get.......and there's all this wonderment feebly shooting up here about why the place chases crap (haven't they there learned how to clean out holes yet?)............

Urgent: I just read on CityPage that the Pelli Firm is being sued and that they may have to opt out, though Roger's will most likely get the nom. if Pelli drops out.
