SF is gorgeous! Hope they build Transbay soon, it will fit perfectly!

I hope this tower will be approved! SF needs a supertall.

I'm happy San Francisco is being extremely careful about their planning. They always have been and the evidence is in how gorgeous and unique the city is. As much as I want a new set of towers there, for this case, I'm more than willing to wait for the city to decide what's best on both appropriate San Francisco architecture and location.

I'm not sure if SF really needs a supertall... the city looks great as it is, its charne comes from the midrises IMO

I'm not really sure either, but the article mentioned the city expressing the need for several supertalls for not only the increasing business needs, but to use to taxes to help pay for the new transit plan.

I'm curious does they have renderings for 500 to 800 feet skyscrapers that is slated to be built surrounding a supertall? I hope these will be great additional to San Francisco skyline.

The people of the SF Bay Area need to either prove they really do care about the environment and allow massive buildings around public transportation terminals or admit they are hypocrites and go on trying to preserve this so-called "charmed" quality. Projects like this absolutely need to be built if urban sprawl is to be contained.

i'm afraid that hellrazor is right, in theory. i can see what he is trying to say. i doubt he is talking about the population's intelligence...probably sustainability. he was just lazy to type it all out.

-SF is like Paris, smug, arrogant and provincial, a chip on its shoulder about being passed by rival cities.

-LA is like London, a worldly meltingpot, and doesn't have to shout its importance, it is there and doesn't need to scream it.

FFS! Shut up all of you. The point is......it is stupid to compare ANY two cities with each other, let alone SF and LA. They are ALL different. Now move on.
