Supposedly workers onsite have said 2 months from now. They also said the core would be above street level by Jan 1 and they were pretty accurate with that.

The core from another angle (midblock, First St) with the recently completed 350 Mission high rise (what a beautiful skin!) in the background:

Wow, gargantuan core. Is this pour going to be larger than Wilshire Grand's? I believe they set records with their concrete.

I think a service core that big could potentially limit the available office space within the tower.

Well, they say it will be topped out at the end of 2016 with 1 floor every 3 days. I'm not so sure about that.

Who says that? The scheduled completion of both the tower and adjacent terminal is the end of 2017, 23 months from now. They really need to do only a floor per week or so which is certainly doable. And everybody connected with the building continues to say it will be ready on schedule.

By the way, everyone should realize the weather for the last 3 months in SF has been terrible this El Nino winter with one storm after another. Hard to do this sort of concrete work in a deluge. But the period May to October is coming when it hardly rains at all in the Bay Area and conditions are perfect for building. I expect the building to explode upward then. And I'm sure all this was planned into the schedule--it's not unexpected.
