For the Spanish term Mar Cantábrico usually I prefer Bay of Biscay in English or Golfe de Gascogne in French.

Atlantic Ocean seems to me not too precise.

Bay of Biscay is also an option, but you see, that´s the Atlantic anyway.

Sure, it is the Atlantic, but as far as it is recognize as an official subdivision of the Atlantic Ocean from Cap Ortegal in Galice to Penmarch Point in Brittany it sounds like a good equivalent to the Spanish Mar Cantábrico and more precise than the generic Atlantic.

It is matter of opinion of course but the Paradores webpage offer several routes with some of their hotels and two of them are in the SILVER ROUTE (in the English version webpage)

http://www.parador.es/en/experiences...lver-route-i-0

For anyone who do not know this area, the Silver Route is an old Roman road built north-south halfway between Madrid and Lisbonne more or less. A lot of centuries later the name is kept, motorway A-66 has its name and any touristic route will have that name either if you start in Andalusia or in Asturias (south and north)

In the 80s, a railway going in this corridor was closed so no possibility to do by train. If anyone wanna do a Leon-Caceres (or Gijon-Badajoz, or...), for instance, he must go via Madrid and surely a car will be faster (or even a bus service). It is one of those cases where it doesn't worth the train for long distances in Spain.

The term "Cote Cantabrique" exists in French (not that many people know where it is, but anyway).

Referred to the coast of Cantabria, or to the whole of the Northern Spanish Atlantic coast?

====================================================

Coming back to topic...

News:

Works to reconnect the stations of Valencia-Sant Isidre (on the Aranjuez-Cuenca-Utiel-Valencia classic line) with the rest of the Valencia Adif network have started.
Initially the Cuenca classic line will be connected to Valencia-Fuente de San Luis station (on the Valencia-Tarragona main line), where trains will reverse to reach Valencia-Nord.

This connection is new, and it´s being built not just to reconnect the Cuenca classic line, but also the Mediterranean Corridor south of Valencia to the north of Valencia (Valencia-Tarragona main line) and also to the Valencia port, since the section Valencia-Silla of the Valencia-La Encina main line is saturated with all the commuter trains.
The direct connetion Valencia-Sant Isidre to Valencia-Nord has no date of execution yet.

Santander-Oviedo line.

Near Toraño station (Asturias), there´s been a landslide because of the river Sella (see the pics). The cut will last till Tuesday.
They´re having quite some shitty weather on the Atlantic, this year (I mean more than usual).
