León-Gijón line.
Somewhere between La Robla and Puente de los Fierros.

Picture taken trom the cabin of a train, in winter.

The electrification posts are from 1925, the oldest posts still in use in Spain.

Alicante-Benalúa station is not disused, it´s still in use for freight.

It´s simply that in the 1970s, Renfe decided to concentrate all the passenger traffic in one station, and the freight in the other.

So Alicante-Término became the only wide gauge passenger station in Alicante, while Alicante-Benalúa became the main freight terminal (it´s next to the port).

The passenger building at Alicante-Benalúa still exists, but in very bad state.
It´s supposed to be restored and adapted for some other non-rail purpose.

The rest of the station is alive and well, but it´s a freight station now.

How do you know it's from the cab of a train?

And another picture of the views of this spectacular line

Yes, the Leon-Gijon line is very spectacular...

That´s between Pajares and Navidiello?

Because no one is that tall, not even a basketball player.
And because you know, no one is going to put a ladder in the middle of a railway track in service on a bloody snowy day to take a simple photograph...

or maybe I'm crazy

In my short life the best time on a train was that, rather than go into the cabin of an ave

look at the train in which I was riding.
Much water has flowed under the bridge since then.

but it is very likely to be on the side of leon, missing 35 km to reach the city.

Santiago-Vigo line.
Vilagarcía de Arousa station.

Track is being laid. Some with polyvalent sleepers, others able for triple rail.

Madrid-Hendaye line.

The TER 597.010 is being moved from Valladolid to Lleida (via Logroño), where it will be restored and become the star of a new touristic train in Madrid.

At Valladolid-Campo Grande station:

Alicante-Benidorm-Denia line.

Photo from October 17, 2013.
A class 2300 DMU at what I guess is Hospital Denia station.
They´re the oldest rolling stock still in regular use in Spain.

JL5 & 437.001 - two Spaniards speaking english to each other? I see us guiris need to start worrying for our jobs these days :-) Gracias por las fotos. The old line will continue to stay functional, correct, when they open the Pajares variant in the year 500 after Buck Rogers...?

We are now used to these kinds of structures being built and don't notice how much advanced engineering and research it has required to get the point of building them being just a matter of $$$. Mere 50-60 years ago such a viaduct would have been beyond technical feasibility.

Messrs. Forth Bridge and Tay Bridge from Scotland angrily object to your sentence with yellow face and a stick.
