Construction officially started on December 22, 2006. Original project was changed to include a second twin tower, but they will be of a different, better design:








Old project:







parking with 211 carspaces (with intuitive arrival and washing),
helicopter platform;
a skeleton -monolithic way of construction;
stained-glass windows;
the central air-conditioning;
ventilation and smoke-consumers;
communications: phone, TV, Internet;
three conference halls;
wide-viewed, luxurious restaurant with “alive” music;
a hookah bar;
a billiard hall;
a bridge - club of a prestigious class with VIP-hall;
disco club with advanced programs, a stage, which may be transformed under a podium and the big screen for fashion parade;
studio of one of the Ukrainian TV channels.

It's being built by a Russian company, hence Russian flag near Ukrainian one.

MIRAX the same company that is building the Federation Tower in Moscow, is building this great building in Kyev, Ukraine. It seems like the company has many investments in other countries, not only in Russia, that's wonderful.

I'm not a Russophobe, I personally have issue just in seeing Russian companies/business involved in other places (due to stuff happening in the news)

On to this beautiful tower, will this be the tallest in Kyiv when complete? Or will that recently completed skyscraper remain the tallest?

You do not have any issue with Russian people, you are just againist Russian companies/businesses doing business outside Russia... Hmm... Try to be consistent and honest to yourself at least... And note, if one substituted Jews/Jewish or Black, etc. instead of Russian here, it would be called pure unadultered racism... you would be smothered and ostrcized for this attitude by many.

I am myself againist many deplorable things that Russian government has been involved year after year. But this is a long and different story. What does it have to do with Russian companies/businesses as a whole operating outside Russia? And with Mirax in particular, if you do not mind explaining?

Hey, Scotland is also one of my favorite places in Europe.

Anyway, it will be taller than the previously completed skyscraper and will be the tallest for a short time. Next year a construction of a supertall (400m+) should be started in summer.

They are working quite fast now.
