Good catch! While the buildings are somewhat similar, the street level is much different, and there is more overall development in the Islamabad project. It seems that in Riyadh, they purposely limit other development around buildings to a particular effect.

The Riyadh project seems to be taking a LOT of inspiration from the Burj al Arab, however, I don't think it succeeds as well. The Burj al Arab took inspiration from the ocean and sailing boats, utilizing its context. This one is more edgy and sharp - wanting to cut through its context.

quick question, in the beginning it mentioned thisPlans have also been approved for the construction of a new tower to accommodate the Al Rajhi Bank’s headquarters in Riyadh, designs for which have been drawn by Skidmore Owings & Merrill, the architects behind the Burj Dubai.

is this the tower there talking about, or is there another one
