According to the skyscraperpage.com database, the Rose Rotana is finished. I take it that's not true, though.

They probably are basing that on the fact that it is topped out, though not completed.

This one looked really good Imre

Can i recommend you one thing, find one locaton with an equally as good angle to take photos, and which is easely repeatable. And from there take a photo regularly maybe two or one times a week. And after some time we would have some really good material for comparisson. And a nice animation could be made of it.

Also think about how much such a collection would be worth in the future. Especially if youd do that from 2-3 spots.

What's the ball for? Can people go inside it and look out?

I didnt mean that you had to focus on one single building, but rather an area of interest, like the DIFC for example.

The ball will contain water. The water will get really hot because of the sun and the hot water will be used for people who want to take a shower

That would be awsome but I think its only for decoration.

Couldnt they just decided either spire or ball? because together it looks really sucks.

In this politically correct world it was decided, to prevent either the ball or the spire suing the other, they would be treated as equals and placed side by side.

Yes, I prefered much more the design with the spire on top of the ball, I like symetrical buildings and this ruins it a bit, besides, the tower would have looked a lot nicer with the spire on top.

Never mind it's too late, the spire and ball are up

Ball could still sue Spire because Spire has a more dominant and higher position

But the spire starts lower than the ball so they are still evenlly balanced in that sense :P Theres the same amount ofspire above the ball than below, the spire is simply larger along its length!
