Looks not bad, but I prefer the current silver livery somehow.

Pictures took in La Rochelle (France) in Alstom center. On the background, Algier tramways.

Only 18 meters pear coches ? Not 24m ?

TGV Duplex is 18 meters because is double decker.

AGV is articulated, just like the TGV. Therefore the cars must be shorter to remain within profile.

That is not correct. There are after all plenty of 26m long double deck coaches around. For the real reason see what I wrote above.

Are you sure? Is a TGV with a brand new facelift

The technical equipment (bogie set etc etc..)is the same as ETR300 (Settebello) born in the '60.

The body of each coach is similar to Talgo.

Well,in Italy we call them "Macedonia or mixed fruit

it just looks like the best train design in the world so far.

nothing about technical aspects, just design.

I am happy the first ones will be running in Italy next year

No, the AGV is a significant move forward for Alstom in both technology and design philosophy for their high speed trains.

WARNING!

The non-legislative report by French centre right European People's Party Member Philippe Juvin looks at the effectiveness and enforcement of the existing directive concerning unfair business-to-consumer commercial practices. It also identifies problems with certain practices on the internet related to misleading advertising like hidden advertising through blogs, forums, websites, and targeted advertising. Mr Juvin presented his report to fellow members of the Committee Monday 13 September.

Be careful what you insinuate. This is an internet forum and everything is on record, and to anyone reading through my posting history can quite easily deduce that I don't work for Alstom. Since you made such a poor judgement, jumped to conclusions and then attempted to denigrate my online profile I will take the opportunity to call you an idiot.

The ETR 300's bogies have nothing to do with the AGV's. There may be a history of development, but in that way the AGV's bogies are based on the first horse and cart. Even a cursory glance at photos of both bogies shows they are completely different. If anyone can show any evidence that the bogie frames are the same shape or the same material I will eat my hat. The AGV is the first Alstom high speed train to use distributed power. Been done many times before, but not by Alstom, so it is a massive change in design philosophy for the company. Yes they have distributed power pendolinos, but these aren't high speed trains and they don't use articulated bogies. The cars are similar to Talgo, but BMWs are similar to Audis, so what.

It is quite apparent that unimformed opinions are being voiced on this forum, I have the right to disagree, and if I can be bothered, argue with them. But I get the impression that the original criticisms of the AGV in question were based on a desire to criticise it for whatever reason that poster had, and not due to any observed facts.

Then to recieve an ad hominem (a poorly thought through one at that) in return shows that you are not too bright either.

U are really insane
Why are you saying that? What exactly does this mean? How does this relate to what I have been talking about?
No offence but your behaviour is suspicious. Also unfriendly, Have you got it in for anyone in particular or is this how you talk to everyone?

Your last post was implying that makita was some kind of hidden advertiser for Alstom, trying to promote the AGV. I think his reply was quite reasonable for that kind of accusation. I've seen him post elsewhere and he's usually a fairly polite person.

If that wasn't the point of your last post, then you didn't really make it clear what it was.
