I tend to think the same as him...but as long as the tourism money keep pouring in, I could really care less about the authenticity of the pyramids

That is not the moterway but the western aproach to Sarajevo which is a city highway (gradska magistrala). That sign is actually more of a publicity stunt then a road sign you make left turn at the first traffic light. On the last picture you can see it again but in blue.

You're right, I didn't look carefully! So its status is now motorway, cause before it was expressway (road reserved for motor vehicles). You can see the blue sign with white car here:

That is very weird! They announce the entrance to the Republic of Serbia when it is in fact Bosnia? Considering what happened in 1990's, I am surprised that this sign is still there. I can imagine a big billboard at the entrance to Texas and New Mexico that would say "¡Bienvenido a México!"

Very nice pictures. How's the political state in BiH? Is it safe enough for tourists?

I'm not a Bosnian and haven't been there in the last two decades (I'm just 25 though ), but I'm sure it's safe.

That's not Serbia, but the Republic of Srpska, maybe better translated as Serb Republic, one of the two entities of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (the other one being the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and there's also Brčko District).

Yes, it is completely safe for tourists. More and more tourists are coming to Bosnia every year. If you are interested visit http://www.bhtourism.ba for information.

Welcome!
