Yeah the winter sucks too in the Netherlands. We haven't got real snow this winter yet. (only some local "industrial snow").

I have read a few of your posts now. Always the amazement that other countries may have highways right up to US standards. Almost every post you make it clear that you've never seen another country. Enough of the "we are the greatest " please and look at things with an open mind.

Well guys I didn't think that Iran has such roads too. But I'm not foxified for sure. Because I don't have it There not many information about Iran available. I thought it was very desert and hot. Some people think that Baltic states are very cold. We didn't have snow at all this awful "winter". Tjhe only normal snow was in march

sorry Alexriga. I get carried away but time and time again I read these posts from US members expressing amazement, or disparaging, things modern in other countries.
Fox is a TV channel nationally here in the USA which is a little to the right of Ghengis Khan! ie very right wing.

Its staff continually makes disparaging remarks about any nation or person who disagrees with the US. The rest of the world is consistently portrayed as weird. odd. backward. Hence "being Foxified ".

Some really amazing shots of Iran & its highways. You know, I've always thought that Iran was a very "dry" country (mostly desert or sub-desert), but these pics illustrate how incredibly "green" much of Iran is. Much of that scenery is breathtaking too....I'd really like to go there, rent a car and explore. The highways have a sense of grandeur, just like the highways in other big countries such as the US.

Ahhh...the Fox effect, as someone pointed out. We're made to believe that somehow, countries like Iran are less developed, when these pics do enough themselves to prove otherwise, i.e. that there are many other developed countries, other than just the USA.

Well, actually Iran is really half 'dry'. But that's what makes Iran's trees and grass even more beautiful: somewhat unexpectedness and uniqueness. And another pair of shoes is when we are talking about cities, for example Tehran: it is built on a desert but look at it, it's all green. People made it green, that's what i admire the most.

Besides, stones can be as beautiful as grass and flowers, especially if they are neighbors.

That's some great landscaping then!

Even the desert is beautiful though. Some of those pics remind me of driving from LA to Las Vegas.....deserts have a certain quality about them.

Maybe one day, the human race will put all the BS/fighting over religion, oil and politics aside and Iran will become a major tourist destination.
