It looks pretty good in that nighttime shot. It may be the best I have seen it looking.

This is a travesty; it looks like a poor reclad of an old block of flats, like the ones you see from the 1990s. Considering this is a new building it is a disgrace. Were the people who voted this a 10 being serious!?

I've moved all my stuff out of Opal Tower now ![]() Cleaning my room and handing in my key this week. It's one of the best places for a student to live in the country, however it looks. |

4/10. Not brilliant, but not awful either.
Could do with looking less like a Manchester block of flats.

It looks alright in the flesh. It adds a bit of much needed colour and shape to the skyline.

You do like your colours don't you Rob? I'm not advocating some sort of monochrome skyline, but I think the use of bright pure colours such as red and yellow produces a cheap and nasty looking cityscape. The red is fairly subtle though, and the graphite/grey cladding looks OK. The main problem is just the horrible bulky shape. Leeds has far too many buildings like this and the skyline suffers as a result. The Plaza on the other hand is fairly slender and improves the area, especially from this angle:
