What a beautiful airport!
I wouldn't mind to connect my flight there.

Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport among the best.

Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport has been distinguished at the Airport Service Quality Awards promoted by ACI - Airport Council International, with the award of the 3rd place in the category of Best European Airport, having also been distinguished with the 3rd place in the category of Best Airport with less than 5 million passengers.

At the Airport Service Quality Awards held last night in Dubai, the ACI General Director, Robert J. Aaronson, said that these awards are a result of a special commitment assumed by Airports with its customers.

These awards result from the quarterly enquiries made in order to evaluate passengers’ satisfaction. Over 90 airports worldwide take part in the Airport Service Quality Programme, promoted by ACI.

ANA, SA has been posting these enquiries results in its website, with the results of Lisbon, Faro, Porto and Ponta Delgada Airports.

That is definately a stunning piece of architecture. I wish more airports had vision when it came to design.

say that to a " Porto guy" is the same saying Mecca is in New Jersey to Osama Bin Laden...

Lisbon and Oporto are biggest portuguese citys, and for sure they have different airports...

The Oporto internacional airport is new, and soon Lisbon will get their one...

Lisbon is a different city altogether from Porto, just like London and Glasgow are two different cities.

Porto Airport serves Porto, Lisbon Airport serves Lisbon.

Is it so hard to get a world map and look for Oporto and Lisbon in Portugal??

What you said made the same sense as saying that Kuala Lumpur airport is, perhaps, in Singapure!

Oporto as nothing to do with Lisbon, aside of being in the same country. We´re talking about 2 great cities with over 2.5 million inhabitants, the first one and 1.5 million, the second one.

Lisbon has its own international airport: Portela, and soon, a new one will be built in the south bank of Tagus River: Alcochete, Setúbal Peninsula.

Oporto International Airport is 300 Km north of Lisbon.

Exactly! The airport is located in the Oporto Metropolitan Area, in the northern surroundings of the city itself. Even further away of Lisbon.

Oporto International Airport is the major air gateway of Northwest Iberian Peninsula (Northern Portugal + Galicia).
