Pakistan has always been a country possessing diverse opportunities, the only requirement was to explore and utilize the past untapped resources of the country. Economic policies of the current investment friendly government have led to the creation of favorable environment whereby the economy has gained momentum. The Pakistani economy has been growing at an exponential rate and has resulted in projects like the 400 million dollar Zayed Centre. Once construction is complete on most of these skyscrapers, Pakistan will have one of the best skylines in Asia. This is also the first and largest project archive monitoring Pakistani projects.

Pakistan's Tallest:
The tallest building in Pakistan at the moment is the MCB Tower in Karachi which was completed in the January of 2005, since then many new projects have came up. The Hashoo Group announce with great pleasure the construction of 42-storey tower that will be a deluxe 6-star hotel along with 2800 sq-ft of convention facilities in the beautiful city of Lahore. The new addition combined with the existing Pearl Continental Hotel will have a total of 1100 rooms.
The hotel extension plan will be completed in just 20 months with a cost of $50 million. Port Tower Complex is a vision of Karachi port trust which came very close to reality. The initial vision was for a 500ft tall observation Tower and restaurant that would give a full view of the city of Karachi. When an investor from Qatar came forward the project was changed into a Tower complex with the tallest tower being 1400ft tall. Later on the request of Shaukat Aziz the tower was rescaled to 1500 ft (To make it taller than Petronas Towers) but the project never materialized.In fall 2005 KPT chairman expressed an intention of building a 1947ft tall tower which would be one of the tallest buildings in the world. KPT is still looking for an investor.

Overall view of the site


Crane with drill machine making hole in the ground for pile. The pile diameter is about 2 feet.


Iron Bars make in circular form. The will be used as shown in the next pic


The steel mesh is being made for the pile foundation. Each pile has a mesh diameter of 18inches and will be surrounded by 3 inches of concrete so the total dia is 24inches.




The mouth of the machine. It has got a cutter edge at the bottom which rotates drilling a hole in the ground. They were about 250 piles to be dug.....only 9 have been dug up n filled with concrete yet. Each has a depth of about 75-80feet.
