The board (located at the blue circle in the map below) says 'Meraas Estates' and its located in Al Barsha 3 close to Dubiotech


Does anyone have any plans, details etc?

Sunken into the cooler depth of the desert sand, the stadium, like a hidden treasure, presents itself to the visitor as a series of sharply inclined planes emerging from the ground. These planes, in addition to the volcanic mountain backdrop in front of which they lay, define the space of the stadium and its related activities and create a magnificent place that allows for the conglomeration of a large number of visitors in the heart of the vast landscape.

It's Mohammed Bin Rashid Gardens, as the board clearly shows. This must be a first phase, although the project was supposed to be DP's and has been on hold for a long time now.

Hilton Worldwide signed an agreement to convert the Dubai hotel property, The Royal Ascot, into a new DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, the second DoubleTree branded property planned for the city and the third for the UAE. Following a re-branding to DoubleTree by Hilton Bur Dubai in January 2013, the 174-room property will undergo a comprehensive two-year refurbishment and upgrading programme with an expected completion date of January 2015.

From SZR I could see at least a piling rig and a crane there now, white colour as those of Swissboring

Melia eyes Dubai, Doha for luxury brand

Spanish hotel operator Melia Hotels International has signed two deals to bring its ME by Melia lifestyle luxury brand to the Middle East.

The new hotels are planned for Dubai and Doha, Hotelier Middle East reported on Wednesday.

“ME is lifestyle concept like the Ws of the world. So we have signed a ME product here in Dubai,” said Jaume.

Although he couldn’t reveal the location of the property, Jaume said that it was a new-build expected to open within three years.

Luxury hotel group Langham is looking to bring its brands to the Gulf region, a senior official has said.

Key targets outside of the Asia/Pacific region include Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Doha, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Beirut.
