This is a wicked building! It almost looks like 5 buildings all in one. Very cool.

I actually like it, even though they may have rendered it an hour before the presentation. And I think making it look like multiple buildings make it up makes it look more unique than some boring solid slab.

That building will be much shorter at 340 feet and 21 floors and it will look like this...

Does anyone know why the design was scaled back? Did the developer find the old proposal too expensive?

Too bad the old design had the be scrapped. This new one looks like a bunch of cardboard boxes poorly stacked on top of each other. I could get inspiration to design that by going in my basement...

No, this is a different project. I dont know why its in the thread. The design that is at the beginning of the thread is still the design. and its still being proposed.

Acutally it is the same location. That rendering in the first page I think that it was never proposed. Somebody, maybe the tread starter created that rendering of that 40 story tower. He never place any links where he got those renderings in the first place. The ones I posted is what is getting built at 125th street and Park Avenue.

I hope that this building doesn't get built, b/c it will cause even more people to be priced out who are living there.
