I have a condo unit accross the street in Asoke Towers and have been monitoring construction since piling started in May 06 but I am a bit baffled.

The blue building in the rendering is the one being erected next to Supalai Premier... right? while the other would be standing right behind Q-House... Am I correct?

Yes..that whole areas will be undergoing a thorough transformation since I bought my unit in 2004. The crappy market accross the Eye Clinic is gone and the Syntec's worker tenements site is being dismantled possibly giving way to construction some time soon.
