Hi eskandarany, yes they start the construction of the Expressway btw Algiers and Laghouat, 90 km of 461 km are completed until now.

Wow impressing pics!
I like the tree planting on the sides, but the yellow color of the signage still annoys me...

Algeria used to be a French colony (IF I remember my history/geography lessons), therefore, it stands to reason that everyone there would be speaking French.

Algeria was more than a colony (Morocco and Tunisia yes), Algeria was a french department until 1962 (french presence during 132 years). In Algeria, french is speaking by a large majority of population. It's the business language.

- Ι thought the est-ouest motorway didn't pass through mila.. so how can the section 'setif-mila' be complete then?
- Is it true that tiziouzou-bejaia is getting a new motorway, because that isn't on the est-ouest route either..
- Which 'link roads' has construction started on so far?

I would like to share my (very incomplete) current map of northern algeria (I'm making a map of the unmapped world, yes it's somewhat crazy but fun too), please could you tell me of any expressways I've missed, and where exactly the est-ouest motorway has been completed? I would like to see what the current situation is; there seems to be a lot of construction mashallah! JAK

(I know I've missed out a lot of detail including cities, it is a work in progress)
