Amar Ghoul.

I ve noticed there do not seem to be a standard way of signposting the roads in Algerie, same goes for the road markings (all white, median lines yellow, all edge markings yellow etc), do anyone in here know about a (official) website with the road signs and markings of Algerie?

The motorways looks great though!!!

I think the yellow lines are necessary I'm pretty sure some idiot somewhere will use the shoulder lanes in order to pass traffic

we need to make our own signposts with our own designs

But these are made from Algeria by Entreprise Nationale de Panneaux de Signalisation Routière SPA (ENPS).

For the motorway standards (East-West motorway included) the lines are in Yellow for the left limit and emergency lanes.

In Algiers periferique ring roads, you can find different markings:

The "blue line", on the left for carpooling in order to ease congestion and the yellow or white lane for the emergency lane.

As I saidbefore, the problem is that there is currently no legislation about signage, it is in preparation so we must wait a bit so that the panels are replaced gradually...

There is an article in French here about the future legislation:
http://www.elmoudjahid.com/fr/actualites/3372

But I hope this signage (present on the 2nd south ring road) will be generalized
