Mother's Day Prayer

Thank You, Holy Father, for Your special gift of mothers; for the example of Your unconditional love they share with their children.

Thank You for the mother who lets her child know without doubt he or she is loved, and for the child who returns that love.

Lord, today we pray You will protect and guide mothers everywhere; that You will grant them Your wisdom in loving and teaching their children.

Today, may children everywhere remember the warm caresses and whispers in the night; the tears dried and Band-Aids, the peach cobbler, the laughter; and the blood curdling scream, "No!" at the brink of danger.

Thank You for the mothers who played with us, taught us, nurtured us, fed us, listened to us and tried to understand us.

Today, may we remember Mom's beauty when we were young; and her loveliness discovered as we aged.

Lord, today draw especially close the mothers who are alone, for whatever reason; and grant them Your comfort, Your pleasure, Your peace.

And, Lord, for children who are alone, because of distance, death, or indifference, may good memories flood their minds.

And if there is not a good memory, may forgiveness burst forth from their hearts and revive in them long lost joy.

Thank you particularly for phone calls today, and for a shared "I Love You."

Today as we honor, celebrate, or simply reflect on the woman who gave us birth,
or who adopted us into her heart.

We thank You, Lord, for life, and for Mom!

In Jesus name,

Amen.

Happy Mother's Day, Mahal Kong Inay!
From Bernadette Diaries.blogspot.com

Mother's day will be celebrated here in the Philippines on May 8, 2011. To my mama & other mommies out there, "Happy Mother's Day!"
San Juan, Batangas

Isang maikling kwento (short story)

Happy Mother’s day, Mahal kong Inay!

Andrew

Happy Mother’s day po!”

Posted on 07 May 2011
Posted by Dyan Hernandez to

Life never promise permanence.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

Bright prospects for Batangas Port seen
Monday, May 09, 2011

MANILA, May 9 (PNA) - Philippine-based port operator and developer Asian Terminals Inc. (ATI) is optimistic about volume development of Batangas Port Phase II despite current limited cargo at the facility.

ATI vice president Ernst Schulze stressed, however, that it will take time before cargo volumes in the port will go up.

“It’s not only that we put a ship there but also we have to convince locators, especially in the Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon area where cargoes are coming from, to go to the Batangas port,” he said.

Schulze also stressed ATI’s long-term commitment to Batangas with the end goal of making the port the main trade gateway in Southern Luzon.

Last year, Batangas Port II handled about 7,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs).

As of now, only feeder operator Regional Container Lines and domestic cargo carrier NMC Container Lines make regular calls at the port.

The construction of a new manufacturing plant in the area by multinational Nestle is seen to augur well for Batangas port.
Earlier, the Research Education and Institutional Development recommended the adoption of a state policy to gradually shift foreign cargo traffic from Manila to Batangas and Subic to maximize use of these ports. (PNA)

Ang dami talagang resort sa Batangas....

If your resort is not mention on thread 1, thread 2 and you plan to participate, please post and reply here....

Resort City
Talim point, Lian, Batangas

INVESTORS, FINANCIERS, AND DEVELOPERS ARE WELCOME.

A beach township project located in The Philippines called Resort City will soon rise on an unspoiled beach peninsula consisting of more than 50 hectares surrounded by white sandy beaches. Swimmers can snorkel and view the beautiful corals, as well as surf the waves during the windy season with world-class luxurious amenities to rival the Bahamas and Bermuda off the coast of America and Ibiza in Spain.

BOOMING BATANGAS

The Province of Batangas has been home to world-class resorts for many decades now. Yet new world-class resorts continue to develop as people continue to flock to this favorite tourist destination only 2 hours away from Manila. The province has many beaches and famous for excellent diving spots only a few hours away from Manila.

Some of the more notable ones are Anilao in the Municipality of Mabini, Matabungkay in the Municipality of Lian, Punta Fuego in the Municipality of Nasugbu, the Municipality of Calatagan and Laiya in the Municipality of San Juan. It is just minutes away from the well-established casinos in Tagaytay, the golf course of Punta Baluarte, and the wakeboarding sports complex of Lago de Oro.

It is located only 110 kilometers (68 miles) south of Metropolitan Manila, Batangas is very accessible by land, sea or air. It is only half-an-hour away from

the Tagaytay Taal ridge, an urban commercial tourist destination along the ridge of an old volcano and an ancient caldera, home of many quaint and artistic restaurants, gardens, and shops.

LOVING LIAN

Lian is the new frontier in Batangas. And Talim Point, as seen here is an untouched coast, rife with sea life, best for scuba diving, teeming with corals, and boasts of an access to the ocean that other beaches dream of. Its seabed provides creates a wide shallow portion from the shore best for sighting starfish, seahorses, and colorful sealife unparalleled anywhere else in Batangas.

VISION

Resort City will be a legend in its own time. One can choose from among the world-class luxury residences, villas, hotels and condominiums. Families can choose from among entertainment spots like casinos, malls, cinemas, restaurants, shops, delis, spas, and bars. Children can have fun on horseback trails, fish ponds, parks and playground. Sports amenities include swimming pools with slide, gym, jogging trails. Because it is surrounded by sea, its marina can have a dock for yachts and other sea-crafs with amenities for sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, parasailing, or jetskiing.

AMAZING ASIA

Business Insider Jim Rogers said, "If you were smart in 1807 you moved to London, if you were smart in 1907 you moved to New Yok City, and if you are smart in 2007 you move to Asia." Asia’s resilience during the global recession has made it a top destination for retirees and foreign investors. Part of Asia’s not-so-well-kept secret is a population that keeps going up at a pace that ensures more demand for the future. Asians always invest in Asia and capital flight is not that much of a problem.

CHOOSING THE PHILIPPINES

The Philippines is one of the oldest democracies in Asia with a presidential system of government. It is also the only Catholic country in this region where feasts for saints give rise to many colorful and dazzling festivities on top of feasts commemorating the foundation of towns. World-famous festivals with records in the Guinness Book of World Records are all over the country. The parade of roast pork in Bulacan, the festival of masks in Bacolod, the festival of milkfish in Pangasinan, the coal-painted people’s parade in Cebu, and the water-splashing festival of San Juan, are but some of the reasons why the Filipino people have been ranked as the happiest in surveys all over the world.

There are many ways of investing in the Philippines with all is natural beauty notwithstanding the Constitutional prohibition on majority-ownership by foreigners. And the Bureau of Investments provides incentives to many foreign direct investments. There are many acceptable and legal arrangements for foreign partnerships that help you guarantee that your investments are secure and well-managed.

La Playa Leticia Resort
Alitagtag, Batangas

La Playa Leticia Batangas Resort is the lone resort located at the foothill of a Mountain and shores of Taal Lake. To go to the resort, you either trek from Barangay Alitagtag or a boat ride from Barangay Saimsim. Either way you will definitely enjoy the peaceful and safe mountain trek or the calm water boat ride to the resort. Once you arrive at the resort, you will immediately feel close with nature, filled with its lush vegetation and majestic view of taal lake and sloping mountains. The place is a perfect hideaway from the hustle of city life. During the day, there is plenty of recreation such as videoke, billiard, pool with slides and lake swim. At night, you can put a tent in its shore or lit a bonfire and build a sand castle. Or simply relax with the open skies, mountain and lake breeze and soothing sound of waves.
