It's nice, but not very interesting. You should add some text information.

I can't agree. Each station is functional complex. Therefore, it's better to show photos of vestibule, ticket hall, escalators/staircases, not only photo of platform. The ban on photography in the St. Petersburg Metro was canceled only a year ago. Therefore it is not so much high-quality photosessions in the Internet. I think that many of St. Petersburg stations look better than stations of the other world Metro systems. Therefore I'm decided to load more photos in this thread.

It's some difficult for me to comment process of construction, because I'm have problem with translation of some specific terms concerning technology of construction.

SAD NEWS FROM NOVOSIBIRSK:

STATION "ZOLOTAYA NIVA" WAS TEMPORARILY CLOSED SINCE 19 DAYS AFTER OPENING:

On October 26, 2010 new station of Novosibirsk Metro was temporarily closed for passangers.

"Zolotaya Niva" is the 13th station of the Novosibirsk Metro, Russia. Its construction was started in early 1990s, but was interrupted many times due to lack of funding. Construction of this station was resumed only in 2006. According to original plan, it was planned to be opened in June 2010, to the 117-anniversary of the Novosibirsk's foundation. The construction of tunnels from the floodplain of the Kamenka river to the future station "Zolotaya Niva" was conducted in the difficult geological conditions, with a large level of groundwater.

Opening date has changed many times. Finally the station was inaugurated on October 7, 2010, in the Vladimir Putin's birthday. The opening of the station was widely used by the major Russian party "United Russia" in their own election campaign:

Russlund

The station was opened with one tunnel and one exit with two vestibules. Next year they were planned to opened second tunnel and second exit with four additional vestibules. But the problem with waterproofing remain actual. Here we can see water on the ways:

On October 26 the station was closed according to the decision of court. As it turned out, the inspectors of Rostekhnadzor (Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision) gave permission only for operate the power system of the station, but not at the opening station to the passenger traffic. Factually, station was operated within 19 days without official permission. According to decision of court, the station will closed for 30 days since October 26, and authority of the Novosibirsk Metropolitan will be penalized. During these days they organised special bus route from the site of "Zolotaya Niva" to the nearest station, "Beryozovaya Roshcha".

NEWS OF THE KAZAN METRO BUILDING

As I wrote before, at the present moment Kazan Metro consists of 6 stations on the lower bank of Kazanka River. The first station on the upper bank of Kazanka is scheduled to open this year, before the New Year celebrations. The name of this future station is unknown so far. The station was set to be called "Kozya Sloboda". This name, which translates roughly as "Goat Settlement", was a traditional name for the region before it became part of Kazan.

However, in the wake of protests led in part by students of nearby Kazan State Energy University the city government changed this name. The final decision will be made based on the results of the future contest. Among other options are "Zarechye" (what mean "Beyond the river") and "Ak Bars" ("Snow Leopard"; this is name of nearby bank and one of the top Russian ice hockey team). However, regardless of the final solution, the station will be decorated according to project name - the columns will be made in the form of goat legs:

FUTURE DEVELOPMENT:

After the opening of station with project name "Kozya Sloboda" the main purpose will be construction of three stations - "Dekabristov" ("Decembrists"), "Moskovskaya" ("Moscow") and "Zavodskaya" ("Factory"; the other project name - "Aviastroitelnaya", what mean - "Aircraft station"). These three stations are scheduled to open on May 1, 2013, a 1.5 month before the start of the Summer Universiade in Kazan.

On July 25, 2010 was finished construction of first tunnel between stations "Zavodskaya" and "Moskovskaya" (1.446 km). On October 27, 2010 two tunnel boring machines (TBMs) have begun the operation. The first TBM, which named "Aisylu", will dig second tunnel between stations "Zavodskaya" and "Moskovskaya" (length - 1.32 km). The second, which named "Altynchech", will dig first tunnel between stations "Moskovskaya" and "Dekabristov" (length - 1.35 km). Depth of tunnels will be variate from 14 to 18 meters. Both tunnels planned to be constructed within 7-8 months.

YEKATERINBURG METRO

Forumer Gelio did a nice photosession in Yekaterinburg. Last week I'm uploaded here photos of the future station "Chkalovskaya" (devoted to flyers), and now I'm saw photos of the working station "Prospekt Kosmonavtov" (devoted to astronauts). I'm first time saw photos of the good quality from the Yekaterinburg Metro. Therefore, I'm decided to upload it in this thread.

http://gelio-nsk.livejournal.com/122550.html

"Prospekt Kosmonavtov" ("Cosmonauts Avenue") is a final station in the nothern part of Yekaterinburg. It's located between Metro depot and neighboring station "Uralmash". It was named after nearest Cosmonauts Avenue. The station was opened on April 27, 1991. It's shallow (depth - 6 metres) station of column type. "Prospekt Kosmonavtov" have two vestibules without escalators. Architect - Spartak Ziganshin:

The decoration of station is devoted to space, starry sky and space exploration by people. Its interior is based on a sophisticated combination light and color contrasts:

Cold light of the fixtures is reflected in the track walls and in polished steel of columns. Polished steel of columns was produced in the "Uralenergotyazhprom" plant:

The track walls are faced with Ukrainian labradorite and black Pershinsky marble with white veins of quartzite:
