^One of my favs. Its my Facebook banner. There needs to be more and newer cityscape photos of Dallas(like they do for Houston) instead of just shots of the core.

Here's another fav of mine showing Dallas does have some hill action on the SW side most people don't know about.

Dallas skyline always has been one of my favorite among US cities. I would like to know if there are new projects that help to increase the skyline in density and height.

Plenty of towers going up in Uptown but if you mean skyscrapers:
Take these proposals with a grain of salt.

There's a lot of space and land (and DFW isn't just one big city... it's a collection of cities) and add the fact that the area is in the North Central Texas prairies, you'll get that.

Doesn't take away the fact that this is one of the 5 largest metropolitan areas in the United States, which says a lot knowing how many cities this country has.

Dallas looks fabulous but does anyone get a lightly eighties vibe by the skyline?
I think it's the green neon and all that - screams 1985

Dallas has a quite aesthetically pleasing skyline, and a lot of smaller high-quality developments have been realized over the past 5-10 years. That giant ball on a stick next to the downtown cluster is very unfortunate, though. Thats one of the ugliest observation towers i have ever seen. It looks like something from Orlando/ Vegas circa 1972.

Reunion Tower's brand new GeO-Deck, Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck and LED light and firework displays make for one of the country's most modern and attractive observation towers.
