That was happiness then.

Only Honolulu? New York and Chicago put Honolulu to shame skyline wise. New York is expanding it's skyline into Queens and Brooklyn with the help of Jersey City, and Chicago is expanding North and South as always. So how the fk is Honolulu the only city? You're a damn liar that knows jack sht. Stop trying to sell honolulu.. and dismiss everyone else or I'll have some of the mods really looking into your posts.

Don't need to get upset, seriously.
I'm talking about the rate of a city's expansion. You need to dig up those history books and see how Honolulu looked in the 1950s...practically no buildings what so ever. Today, it ranked 3rd or 4th for most buildings in the U.S. which I'm saying in my previous post that Honolulu looks like its the only city that is expanding the rate of these foreign countries. Well, Miami is also growing very fast too. Check out my other post? I do post heavily in the skybar section and in the Indonesian section of the forums, just to let you know. Lastly, I'm just proud American and I wish that U.S. would step up and continue a steady flow of buildings.

DUbai is not an example to follow. Poor planning, poor architecture, poor importance to the evolution all in Dubai is money 7

Dubai
Singapore
many Chinese cities (including Hong Kong)

Will have the best skylines in the world, almost everything is stylish and top-notch there as opposed to many US cities that look so out-dated with boxy skyscrapers, 60´s and 70´s style!

Go Dubai. I am a great fan of you!
excuse me, have u been drinking too much that you apparently are blind of the fact that skyscraper projects in Chicago and NYC are not too shabby either? also, not all skyscrapers in the us are boxy with 60s and 70s style. i respect the fact that you appreciate these fast growing cities but at least u dont have to leave a comment that offends people.

Dubai has some very nice individual buildings, but lacks the density and character of a city like New York, Chicago or Hong Kong. For me, a good skyline need a mix of both signature buildings which stand out like the Empire State Building or Sears Tower, and a cast of supporting buildings to give density and fill out the lower levels of the city. Dubai will eventually become like that if it's current pace of development can be maintained for the next 10-20 years.

the skylines looks nice but general view of the city is not so good becouse it looks like all the city is a city center and there are not suburbs.
also, the city is not green at all. i would like to see more big parks in the city and more green streets.

The city is in the desert how do you expect to find “green streets”.

I think a lot of people are putting their political views first rather then the actual skyline.
