One question:

How far is the main skyline pictured in posts 646 and 659 from dubai marina skyline?
Thanks

15-25km (depends on the reference points)

(~17 km from Burj Dubai to The Pentominium)

In 15-20 years, best skyline in the world.
Current Holder: New York

I don't really worry about the poor air quality, because they are going to make the air clean with these machines of some sort, when they're finished building the city itself.

It's only like 50% built. The city back 20 years ago, it was nothing.... just a village and desert....

It has really transformed.... and the dramatic transformation is in the future.

But for I now I give it a 10. :P
In 15 years 100/10. :P

Sad, this was going to be my favorite building ever, if constructed. But sadly canceled. :(
It would of been 655m tall or 2184 ft tall. Location would of been of course Dubai.

ANARA WHAT COULD OF BEEN THE MOST AWESOME BUILDING EVER.

Dubai is totally out of this world but all the constructions...are they for demand or just to impress? Dubai is definitely stunning...awesome architecture and such a dramatic city.

3/10

With few exceptions, I think a lot of the tall buildings in Dubai seem to be cheaply and unimaginitively designed. Unfortunately in Dubai, the emphasis seems to be quantity (and superlatives) rather than on architectural quality.

Dubai is definitely an eye-opening city full of breathtaking buildings, but just because a building is 500m and has a few gaudy finishes, doesn't make it architecturally pleasant to look at. Personally, I like tall buildings, but I like them well designed too.

For the skyline 8/10

For the city (urban/social), under 5....

The Burj gets 10/10 from me though

an impressive skyline. yet, some of the towers look kinda' funky to me, and not in a good way.

imagine how the cities will look when the 800 m+ will become the "standard" of skyscrapers...the burj gives a kinda idea ... the future begins NOW
