Autoroutes du Maroc : Evolution des recettes de péage et du trafic en 2008

L’année 2008 a été marquée par l’inauguration de la section Tanger-Port Tanger Med par Sa Majesté Le Roi Mohammed VI le 25 mars 2008 ainsi que par la mise en exploitation de la section M’Diq- F’nideq le 21 juillet 2008. Durant cette année, le trafic et la recette ont évolué respectivement de 12,7% et de 17,2% par rapport à l’année 2007.

La mise en service des nouvelles sections précitées, la variation de la structure du trafic par catégorie de véhicule ainsi que la variation de la matrice origine-destination expliquent la différence relativement importante entre l’évolution du trafic et celle de la recette. En effet, sur réseau stable, les évolutions de la circulation et de la recette entre 2008 et 2007 n’ont été respectivement que de 9,9% et de 10,1%.

It's not gravel, it's quite solid asphalt actually. Just not so dense. I don't they will pave any shoulders any time soon. For Moroccan authorities that's not an emergency lane where you need to drive, only to stop.

Top image is A5 between Casablanca and El Jadida at Bir Jdid, middle is probably the toll barrier at Bouznika on the A3, and the bottom picture is the A7 facing northwards, just south of the motorway interchange at Casablanca Ouest (km 0 of the A7).

Kind of weird, because the last one i found (on panoramio) definately showed the A3. Besides, i would think the A7 would look "newer", but perhaps you are right.

It says Mohamedia on the sign, i didnt know the A7 reached that far.

Well, the part of the A7 from the airport and north towards Casablanca is simply the refubished 2x2 access road so it looks a bit old. They only start signing Mohammedia there because that's where the Casablanca bypass (A5) ends.

They were improving the A7 the last time I used it although the works seemed to have just begun.
