Yes, but based on I habe seen on US movies, I think the median on the middle is normally covered by concrete?

New numbers for the AADTs on Moroccan autoroutes. Quite hefty increases I think, especially considering traffic volumes are decreasing (I think) in Europe. Currently, only the Casablanca-Rabat section is being upgraded to 2x3. Looks like the Casablanca-Berrechid Nord section (corresponding to the road from Casablanca to the airport) needs to be upgraded next.

It's very good but Rabat needs a bypass and Casa - Rabat must be larger 3*2 or even 4*2!

For 40,000 AADT? It can easily remain 2×2 for some time, i.e. until ~80,000 AADT.

I agree. Rabat-Casa can remai 2X2 for 2 or 3 more ways. By the other hand, works are expected to finish in 2012...I guess the traffic will continue in 3 years...mmmh so maybe it is not a too bad idea
Rabat new bypass is absolutely compulsory: it does not make any sens to have all traffic coming from south and north (Rabat is at the crossroad of north-south / east-west axis) crossing the city. During summer traffic jams are awfull because there are around 3 crossings/lights on the current bypass.

Considering the driving on that stretch of motorway, 2x3 is necessary in order to have some veering space...

I thought of that. Indeed, if people drive like crazy, 2×3 can be needed even as early as 40,000 AADT, while in countries with very disciplined drivers, 2×2 can function even above 100,000 AADT.
