The green signs mean that if you take that direction, you'll exit the highway!
In the last picture, once you take the green exit, you get into Casablanca's urban highway!

This will be the longest motorway in Morocco to be delivered in one block: 317 kms. I'm not sure if there is anything similar in any European country. Algeria might have opened stretches of similar length, but I'm not certain.

I think the largest European motorway openings (in one section) was in the late 1930's, when it was common for Germany to open 100 -150 kilometer sections in one time. Otherwise it went fairly fragmented. Britain did some 70+ km openings, but those weren't too common. France also saw major completions, but most were less than 100 km at the time (most notable A4).

So what's the exact opening date for Autoroute Fes - Oujda? I thought it was to be June 30th.

Should be somewhere in July. Altough I heared some rumours about a delay because one of the roadworkers died during construction (which has caused work to stop for a while).

What I heard in the Moroccan forum was that smugglers bringing in black market goods from Algeria had started using the motorway from Oujda to Taza before its opening, killing a roadworker.
