Well since this is "Sexy Singapore" which refers to Singapore as a whole, I guess so I think posting some pictures of Woodlands should not be a problem. Here is some pictures taken at Woodlands Square with Nokia phone. Sorry for the bad quality, I was just going for swimming but I ended up taking pictures of this since I am bored after the swim.

Sexy Singapore has lost out to Durban in hosting the IUA Conference in 2014...
cross post from the Durban thread...
BREAKING NEWS - Durban to Host Giant Global Architecture Conference! GREAT breaking news guys - (especially for forumsters here) - is that Durban beat Singapore to host the International Union of Architects Conference in 2014, according to this morning's Mercury... ![]() The conference is expected to bring between 10 000 -15 000 architects from around the world to Durban. This is a massive coup for Durban and SA!

I suppose
Quote:
Durban/KZN afterall also is on the verge of greatness in the next decade or so... and is unashamedly staking a claim to become one of the world's hottest cities/regions - even in winter... Come FIFA World Cup 2010, it will literally be the hottest city in SA - even in winter... fyi - a former boss at Sentosa Islands - Darrel Metzger - is leading a massive $2.5 billion resort city development on the KZN North Coast, +40 minutes from Durban... He now works for a group called Ruwaad Holding - the Dubai based co behind the plans...

I havent heard of other HDB blocks being conserved, but Princess House at Alexandra Road is. However I dont think it was ever a flat.
If I could recommend a HDB development for conservation, it would definitely be the red and white blocks at Selegie House. Already the SIT flats there are housing students of SMU. |
