Agreed.

I just love how the people in the snaps are so friendly. You'd never come across someone that friendly on the Gold Coast (I know I've said this before, but it constantly amazes me).

Interesting. I agree with you...putting planes in the air in Melbourne during matches of a tennis Grand Slam is weird...and letīs not even talk about fireworks...aussies are really proud of their country
Weīll celebrate the 100th anniversary of or republic and weīll be more modest

I really hope Dimethyltryptamine (I had to copy/past this name ) and Milan Luka donīt think that I think Auckland is in Australia! Cause the exam that I talked about in my last post is a Geography exam

Thanks ML .... we cancelled the Gold Coast | Brisbane trip and rebooked it to Christchurch and Wellington - all paid for and issued so we will definitely see you. I am very excited to see CHC for the first time and WLG should be interesting (we were last there 2 years ago). Can we meet up on the Saturday ?

[16 JANUARY 2010] - 25°C SATURDAY, 12:00 Partly Cloudy

AUCKLAND[CITY+PROJECT]

DEVELOPER PLANS [26 STOREY TOWER] FOR OPEN AIR CARPARK

An Auckland property developer has applied to build a 26-level, $200 million office tower in Auckland's CBD. Developer Tim Edney has applied to the Auckland City Council for resource consent to build the 35,305sq m, environmentally friendly building on the block between Customs St East, Gore St, Gore St Lane and Fort St. Expecting to start work soon, Mr Edney said the tower had been designed to be tall and thin as to not block the view from other skyscrapers in the area. The building would feature double-glazing, sun-control screening, mid-building and roof-level gardens, solar panels, water recycling and rainwater collection systems and bicycle parks.

I must admit mate, I did form that opinion. Just how I read your post- Australians and NZers often get mistaken for each other when we go out into the world which we hate. No offence taken.

AUCKLAND[CITY+EVENT]

AUCKLAND [ANNIVERSARY] WEEKEND

Auckland's Viaduct Harbour comes alive once again to celebrate the 2010 Auckland Anniversary Weekend. There's plenty to see and do over this long weekend, including: music and live performances taking place as part of Auckland International Buskers Festival, plenty going on at Voyager New Zealand Maritime Museum, a fireworks display, the annual Oceanbridge Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta and the Auckland Seafood Festival. As well as this, there are carnival rides for the kids, a South American-themed fiesta and dance party, and a fireworks display to round off the weekend. Happy Birthday Auckland

Ok, I've been warned.
I didn't know the word "sunnies"! Is that a common word?

This look is something.

Thank you for the pictures of houses!
Yeah as stated the sun is very bright here and burns the skin right off of ya. I thought that the African sun was harsh, no way, it doesn't even come close. Sunny's (only called so in this part of the world) are handed out free to young children so you can say that it is part of the culture.

As for the pink lady, she is very eccentric and I love people like that. I tried to get her from the front but missed - now that was something to behold

Thanks for the comment and have a fab weekend

Thank you for your answer! Infos about words and way of life go well with the photos.

If you love eccentric people you'll love the singer Brigitte Fontaine. She is incredible. I don't know how eccentric is our pink lady but it's good to see her walking in the street dressed as she is.
Have a fab week-end too.
