Florida and the Philippines does have similar climates. Although it can get much hotter here (temperature wise) in the summer compared to there, but it's much more humid in the Philippines. Also, winters here in Florida are mild but we do get our share of below freezing temperatures but that only lasts a few hours, and some rare flurries (more frequent in northern Florida).

Mt Apo is the tallest. it's in Mindanao while Mt. Pulag is located in Northern Luzon, in the Benguet Province in particular. It's only a few meters shorter than Mount Pulag

In that case, how come Mt. Apo is still considered the highest point in the Philippines? Someone should consider rewriting the textbooks that are being taught to the kids in school.

Oops, thanks for the corrrection. Didn't see that. Mt. Apo, as far as I know, is the highest. Mount Pulag is like 200 feet or meters(don't remember which) shorter than Mount Apo.

Here mountaineers pass through a natural showcase of highly-varied landscape. Osmeña Peak is the highest peak among the Mantalongon range. Behind it, the mountain ranges stretch as far as Badian to the Southwest. One can trek across the mountain ranges to get to Badian, practically cutting across the island of Cebu westward.

sometimes, temperature here could reach 9 degrees centigrade

9 degrees is cold enough.

I guess not only because of Manila's natural deep harbor but also.. it being on the plains of Luzon... Manila has become the center of commerce in the country since the 16th century and back in the days if you want to go to Banaue or Sagada or any of the mountainous provinces.. you will need to walk for days to get there as there wouldn't be roads there... remember that commerce in the old days was enhanced by the Galleon trades... plus I guess at least a century back those provinces are only inhabited by tribal people...

Check your facts buddy. It won't hurt to be sure with our claims before posting them in a forum like this.

Di ba due to global warming, yung temperature na nararanasan natin ngayon is mas mataas kesa nung years, decades and centuries ago. Malay natin kung ang Manila by then was not that warm? Besides, marami pang puno nun and Pasig River might have helped "airconditioning" the capital. That's the reason kung bakit pinili ng mga Espanyol na gawing bakasyunan ang Malakanyang di ba?

I was just wondering... does Baguio have very high pollution? And does it contribute to the warming of the place?

Bukidnon is cold yes... we traveled there early in the morning and it looked like some other North American country...
