Never been there. Hopefully I did but I've been to the other end of Bucari Road in Leon....San Remegio, Antique and I was already at the foothils of Mount Napulak (Nipple Mountain).

its in Bucari, Leon.

the landscape is somewhat similiar to the Cordilleras.

Negros Occidental's equivalent of the cordillera is the town of Don Salvador Benedicto. There are waterfalls, and terraces around the town, and the temp is much lower than the ones in Bacolod. they also grow veggies, flowers and strawbewrries in DSB. but their strawberries are much smaller than the ones in La Trinidad.
-------------------

neways the coldest place i have been to is Atok, Benguet. we were actually ot supposed to be there, but our car conked out, and its getting dark already so we decided to spend a night there. I was a bit surprised when the lady who ows the house where we slept just leave her veggies, chicken and pork in the dining table and not at the fridge. twas very very cold there. much colder than baguio. so cold that we need to heat water just to brush our teeth.

walang hotel dun.. transient house lng kmi, buti na nga lang meron...

nothing to explore really in Atok, most of its lands are cultivated for high value crops/veggies.

pero nung na stranded kmi dun, their vice mayor was so accomodating that she even offered a room in the minucupal hall for a sleepover pag di kmi naka hanap ng room. i think its around 3-4 hours from baguio.

til now di ko pa rin makaka limutan yung address na tinulugan namin.

its the transient haus a few meters away from the municipal hall. Address nya is Sayangan, Atok, Benguet

I've been there thrice. It does get cold at night. Water falls abound the area and the water is rather chilling. Last time I was there was in 2002.

The third time I went there was for our Ecology Class and the entire class went there. It didn't matter to us about the NPA's since our guide was a former NPA (or perhaps retired?). He was there to make sure no harm will happen to us.

Actually hindi sa La Trinidad yun. Sa Atok,Benguet yun since umabot dun ng 6 degrees..sa La Trinidad, parang Baguio lang. Minsan mas mainit pa dun.

I've been to Leon once back in 2004. One of the municipal councilors who met us there wore two 45's holstered miami-vice style. sarap batukan

I think the farthest i got there was either Brgy Lampaya or Tunguan, can't recall exactly. But I remember thet you needed to cross a wide bridgeless river to get there.

That would make a city hotter.

According to a UP report, cities had this urban temperature rise. In their study, cities that are densely pack tend to be warmer.

Mt. Pulag (Mt. Pulog) in Sagada is the coldest place where the temperature could go down below zero during the nights of November and December.
