Yes, but not right away. SSP has moved it back to 'prep' status.

Not yet.

I went over to the site and spoke with one of the foundation workers. They have to grout and seal freight tunnels theu run under the site. They also have to finish potholing the area. They still have the entire southern half of the site to do. Caissons are still several weeks off.

las vegas gold

that gold and white facade would fit really well in Vegas, like the Mirage, but not in Chicago.

someone asked about towers width?
heres a great elevation showing widths all way up tower.
It doesnt indicate base width BUT ive scaled it and its approx = 214ft/65m. (Sears=225ft/68m)
Interesting that at 1500ft/450m mark its same width as Burj Dubai. apprx 150ft/45m!

We have to see a foundational commitment (pun intended) before it's officially under construction.

WOW is this behemont really going though? Don't get me wrong, I love skyscrapers but this one is just going to unbalance the skyline completely. The original design was imo way more incorporated to the skyline, this one will only make every tower around it look tiny, kinda like AON on steroids.
