I made a 1920x1200 wallpaper version for those of us with widescreen monitors.

Time Lapse Photography

Anyone have any suggestions for a time-lapse system? My parents live at Parkshore with a perfect view of the Spire site and I'd like to set something up. I probably won't do any sort of live web streaming, but just a simple way to capture an image a day maybe without very much interaction.

I haven't realized how great Chicago Spire will look at night until I saw that last render. This building will surely become a landmark of XXI architecture.
Chicago did great last century, and will do the same for this one!

Boy wouldn't it be nice for people shelling out 40M to have an airport nearby, in sight even.

There WAS an airport - on the spit of land in the lake with the wavy path on the far left of the panoramic. Da mayor had it removed. It was for small planes so AON/Standard Oil was a bigger problem (not).

Look up any old copy of flight simulator and find Miegs field.

I did the same from the trump site. not much you can do besides take pictures often and organize them in folders, by month. you can check you what I did from trump.....

there is no easy way to do it.

When using Firefox (browser) www.thechicagospire.com still shows the old version of the website. But on IE it is the updated new version. That is why it didn't work for you cbotnyse.
