It is a German Hydrolic Drill and Grouter

From http://www.skanska.com
Quote:
The KR 806-3 drill has been specifically designed for overburden drilling with double-head rotary drilling module. This system offers state-of-the-art overburden drilling technology for borehole diameters up to 305 mm and drilling depths up to 150 mm(sic). Notable characteristics of the drill are–high degree of directional accuracy, controlled soil
extraction, low vibrations. By mounting various heads (KD-series drifters, KH-series rotary heads) the KR 806-3 drill is suitable for numerous other drilling applications (including high-pressure grout injection).
I always thought grout was what you put between the tiles in the bathroom.

There are over 400 billionairs in the USA now based on forbs 400, I think the minimum is now 1.3 billion. There are also I'm sure well over 1000 billionairs in the world. Someone is going to buy this penthouse.

If a private individual doesn't snap up the penthouse first, my guess is that it'll be taken up as corporate pied-a-terre and/or hospitality suite by one of the Fortune 500 set.

I got this e-mail this morning since I registered my interest on the Spire website:

No, it would make sense to have offices everywhere. The damn building is in Chicago. I am in Chicago. Why should I have to call London to get info about buying a condo?

very true, but the sales center here must have a number to call, I'm surprised they wouldnt give you that number. It'd be very annoying for anyone in the US to have to call London for an inquiry.

ok, I have been trying to adjust myself to the new look of chicago with this new spire, but I still prefer they build something else on this site, it is just going to damage the skyline
