From the west, it's behind alot of buildings, including two U/C supertalls (Trump and Waterview), and two proposed supertalls (Wolf Point and Waldorf=Astoria).

It may or may not be a great location for it, but let's not pretend it's 'in the middle' of anything other than a photo op from the lake. And no one lives or drives through the lake.
WHAT????

As of today with all the proposed and approved scarpers around the world, the Chi-Spire has the most beautifully aesthetic design for a skyscraper on earth. (IMO)

The only aspect that could ruin or decrease the value of the scraper would be a bad choice of the facade/windows.

will this building go down in the US history book as the most amazing case of a huge and defining (and speculative) skyscraper breaking ground in an incredibly short period of time?

Doesn't conventional wisdom dictate that this one should have still been in the planning and discussing stage in, say, 2010?

Let's not talk about conventional wisdom. You might jinx it.

No all the caissons are most definitely NOT done - I think BVic came up with 9 out of 29 a few weeks back - all the caisson motors and bits are off site, but the monster shaft is still waiting patiently for their return.

Sorry for asking you, but

whats that circle for?
Do they complete the circle and dig everything out in it??

Thought they were pouring a concrete plate and make some holes to get everything out underneath it?!?
Or is it the core of the tower already?
