yes. i read something with over 200ft diameter....i believe the number was 225ft

caissons arn't done yet.....i think they've done like 9/29 or something.

A lot has happened!

Since I last visited SSC a week or two ago, a lot has happened at this site. I am very happy to see this great progress. It seems a fitting schedule for such a landmark structure.
I, like so many others, look forward to the day when this beautiful Spire will stand its full height, a monument to the tenacity and sheer will of the great city of Chicago. I am very proud to live in a country with amazing vertical ambitions. This structure epitomizes America's inexorable climb toward the heavens, and that is a great honor. Thank you all.

I think these two pictures from the front page show the best comparison of the core diameter to the outer building diameter:








The inner part, I believe, is what is being encompassed by the cofferdam:
