Kngkyle, i think they did something similar in Madrid with a highway near the river, and now the highway is under the river
The project was called Calle 30, if you are interested.

The constructuction methods' diagrams look similar to those used for the Big Dig and the Southwest Corridor in Boston.

i still dont have idea whats going on with the construction...but im exited though to watch out of every moment of the construction.
