george, i have to agree with you, but for me it would be...there is something just too unnerving being that high up. Perhaps it really is my hang up because your logic is right on.

I'm really going to enjoy watching this thread. It's rare you can get a front row seat watching the construction of such a significant building. The biggest thing we'll see in Baltimore anytime soon will "only" be 715 ft tall.

Drilling right next to the concrete waler threw me for awhile. As some of you know I worked on a similar but of course smaller scale project where we used rolled steel walers. I'm betting this is to support the weight of the concrete rings. Some people may be thinking they can dewater the sand but that would be a wasted effort. The sand is too dense and won't drain. The best way is to dig trenches and sumps. This is at least Budron's fourth top down so they definitely know the ropes.

Stupid question but here goes. Is that circle the outside boudary of the building? If so, it is very small IMO.

Are you sure? In Dubai for example there is water drainage just everywhere... and there's sand, too!

is it me or many tall buildings have a spire model in it? its getting kind of boring.. but I like this one out of them all
