hi guys, ive been told that highest resi floor in SPIRE will be 568m high.
what floor would that be? 143?
ive worked out each resi floor equals 3.65m or 12ft.
is that the case?
ive judt thrown the top section in BurjD diagram to show everyone just how spire will be.

It's crazy that the Chicago Spire will be higher than the height Burj Dubai at the moment and that all on such a small plot ... awesome.

I remember reading way, way back that the top will be steel. But that was before the design had changed, so I'm not sure if that's still the case.

Hello everyone,
this is my first post in this thread, first I want to say big thanks to harryc for his great pictures everyday! Looks really great. I like the quick progress at the site and the kinda strange way of constructing at the moment, interesting!
I'm searching for an apprenticeship at a cool highrise building so this one would be a dream to came true to be at But I can't find the building firm of the Spire so if anyone can help me..

The development firm is Shelbourne Development of Dublin, Ireland.

When I spoke with one of the construction workers, they said that it would be dug out seventy (70) feet. I cannot guarantee accuracy of the figure but it's probably something close to that. I'm sure the best estimate is posted earlier in the thread.

Given the closeness to the mouth of the Chicago river, those layers are probably sediments and not that old.

According to this old plan (from the previous design), the elevator with the longest run would reach the 144th floor:
