Looking good!

I'm curious when will Chicago Spires start to rise? I know that foundation will take long time to finish. Anyone knows when it will start to rise when foundation completes?

If we knew, it would be posted here, and since it isn't, we don't know. That was hard.

As far as them working on weekends/nights I'm not sure, but Bvic posted this picture on SSP and it appears they were working at night:

The glow is like a dramatic tease as to the giant that will one day stand there.

Isnt BD on like Thread #40 or something?? No comparison, really..as there shouldn't be, since BD is so tall that I would expect it to be the most viewed

Exactly. BD is naturally much more viewed and much more posted.

And I just don't get all this ,,CS thread vs BD thread" comparisons, what is the point in that? We can compare buildings but comparing threads is silly.

Anyone knows the date when they should start digging the whole area? I want to know how long I should wait to see something else than a deep hole in the ground.

Well, people are always talking and comparing, I noticed no one had posted in this thread for a while, so I thought I would post that.

Hi Everyone
I just have a few questions. Not being an engineer or architect it does make it harder for me to follow all the detail some you forumers get into and discuss, but i'm in love with the tower just as most of you are. Anways, i just wanted to know some simple info about the construction of the tower.

1. How deep is the hole and what do the divided sections of the hole represent?
2. how wide is the base? (i heard it was quite thin, something along the lines of a 1:10 ratio?)
3. what has been the latest significant progress made on the tower?
4. what are we expecting to see happen next within the coming few weeks or couple of months?
5. where will the underground parking lot be located?

Thanks
2.
