It seems like that is a pretty long time, regardless of height.
It's not so much the height as it is the location... I think.... Right next to the rive and the lake??

As for the buildings being empty in SoCal, well the market there sucks. That is why they are empty.

The pool of stuff
I think this is a pool of slurry, letting the suspended soil settle out ?
I didn't see where this was coming from.

Where on the site could they be using slurry? I thought the slurry wall was done. Are they plugging up more old tunnels perhaps?

Slurry is used in the caissons as well as the diaphragm wall. This is most likely being used in the 2 pairs of big caissons being installed now.

Possibly filling in the rail tunnel or deep tunnel, but then why pump it out now ?

Moving out - rock caisson stuff leaving. - To answer an earlier question - (if done as before) CASE will not do the mat, they just do the caissons.

The number of secant beams dwindles.

Or maybe setting up to provide temporary power to the construction site? I'm sure as work progress quite a bit of power will be required.

A Supersucker is a vacuum truck, they're used many places in the industry for cleaning etc. Their big advantage is that any abrasive materials picked up don't go through a pump to cause wear and tear.

May 23 - Grinder

Pnumatic Grinder - used to make sockets in the limestone ( Dolemite ) for the "rock caissons" - not sure if this size is no longer needed, or if it is off for repair, or another site.

Air couplers - allows 4 big compressors to feed a single line.

More Grinder photos
