Do you have like special software where you can do all these diagrams?

If you do what's it called?

Or do you edit diagrams on the microsoft?

I doubt Pentominium will top out before CS, sure there are 100m difference but CS already in the end of its foundation works, Pento just started. and as i know the Construction-sites in chicago the CS will rise Quick

Does make sense.

I just discovered that they're both all-residential buildings. When they're built both towers will be top 2 tallest all-residential buildings.

Both towers expected to finish and open at the same year (2011), but I put my money on the Chicago spire. Even though there'll probably appear unexpected delays or significant accidents.

I am so longing for some pics from inside the hole!
Can't anyone just talk to the workers to get the permission to go on the construction yard and make some shots from inside?

How big of a challenge do you think it must be for the interior floor planers to lay out these Condos? wow, talk about a challenge.

Allot of credit should be given to them

May 28 - lunch 2

Welders on the roof

6 left - secant columns

Big cages for BIG caissons - looks like barely enough rebar to do another pair.

May 28 - secant rig

A versatile rig, with the equipment mounted here it can drill the hole and push the liner down as it goes.

Working the last caissons for the secant wall.

The crew and rig.

CASE crews always seem to be enjoying themselves

Pulling up a canister of dirty slurry ( destined for the big slurry pound )

Emptying it out, the canister is placed in the bucket and then the shaft is twisted to open the bottom

shake vigorously.

A neat feature of this rig is the springy collar, this allows the shaft to be lowered ( with one cable ) until the disk on top hits the collar ( at a fair speed ) and the inner shaft starts going down on the cable alone, at that point the oerator slows it down until it hits bottom.

The bits are switched out faster than I can get a shot - now the auger. While this was down you could hear the rock being chewed on, and feel it through the ground.

Now ( leving the bit on ) the sleeve pusher is engaged, this works by weight, and possibly hydrolic pushing.

Engaging the locks ( a bit of wiggle is required to get the latch to engage ) whithout a word.

By rotating back and forth the sleeve has been pushed down another 6' or so
