They completed the caisson foundation inside the hole that will support the core of the tower. In July the complete foundation if the tower including all the caissons and the walls around the site will be complete and then they will start to build the tower upwards and the garage downwards.

Just remember that building such a big tower in the muddy Chicago soil means that you have to build a solid foundation, that's something that can't be completed in just a few weeks. And from all the daily updates it has become very clear that the contractors haven't been doing nothing the last few months.

Say it again Momo1435!!! Some people are just impatient. Anyway, I was just curious as to the amount of square-footage this tower will have compared to Burj Dubai. I would think Burj would have much more, but it tapers off so considerably toward the top. Any numbers?

At least we got the pictures.

A bit of friendly rivalry can't hurt after all.

If you read carefully it says: "SARAH -and- COLIN Love DAD". It's probably just a thoughtful piece of graffiti from one of the construction workers to his kids.

30% Sold for a tower this size is a huge number. Chicago never fails to impress me.

big single page spread in the UK's Sunday Times property section this weekend. Looks like they've ramped up the aggressive marketing. Road show at a hotel somewhere in Mayfair, Central London. Can only just afford a hutch in Central London, so an investment in the Spire is some time off. Keep the photos coming HarryC - looking forward to superstructure appearing.
