I'm not an expert in architecture, as I said once, but the way they're planning to make the CS rise reminds me of Tower 42 or NatWest tower (according to the names) in London, i mean a central concrete "core" and the floors spreading from it. but i read that this was a big problem for T42, since there wasn't as much space as commercial banks would need.
i know CS is an apartment tower block, but will this construction style have a negative influence on the apartments' dimensions?
Looks pretty livable in my book. Due to its taper every unit will be unique.

If that is the "case" (bad pun) then what's up with the large blue and yellow crane still working on the site that says "Case" on the side?

Does anyone know when the next stage will start - the parking garage - etc.

Does a schedule of construction exist? And is it available to SSC? Like something similar to Burj Dubai's in detail?

Been parked there for about a week now. There are still a pair of liners, a small collection of bits , and a pair of secant beams on site.

I wonder if they are spares which haven't been removed yet - or waiting for some unseen utility to be moved.

Exactly what I wanna see, burj dubai had very strict scedule even though it wasn't done on time. I would love to see scedule for chicago spire construction.

Chicago really does have some amazing 60s modernist buildings.
yes lake point tower is timeless. it rises 197m/645ft and was wt resi from 1968-1994

If a schedule was available it would stop people asking when the next thing was going to happen - for example when the parking garage was going to be built or the core rising.

Is one available?

The master schedule would probably be worked out by the General Contractor and I'm not sure if a General Contractor has been selected yet.

ok, it seemed to take a really long time for the external construction to start
but now that it has actually "started," everything seems to be going even slower!

I think this is moving a good pace considering the size and complexity of the structure they are building. I mean they've already got all the caissons in, that was a huge job that could have easily taken two years.
