You don't have to be an architect to understand that a building needs a foundation.

he is the biggest a**hole in this forums, just ignore him.

Something tells me this week new contractor moves on the site, I'm really hoping at least.

Anybody know who is next contractor anyway?

I hope they begin construction of the core soon - this (along with the WTC in NYC) will be the most active sections of these forums for all skyscraper fans!

It is pumped out, the hose runs from about 1 oclock to the corner by the gate.

Not unless you can figure out how to get water to flow uphill. If water could flow from the hole to the river it could also flow from the river to the whole which would not be good. That's why the membrane walls were installed, to keep the water out. There are a couple of sumps, one of the core and one in the garage area where pumps can pull the groundwater out.

You know though if for some unforeseen reason if this project goes belly up anytime soon they could always use this hole for a missle defense system.

Maybe it's because of the angle but I still count six rings in the core?

I agree, I only see six rings too but maybe they've buried the bottom one after putting it in and they will expose it when they expose the top of the caissons. You can tell they're very recent pictures because of a clean the site is and by the position of the equipment.

Seems like they spend as much time burying and exposing stuff as they do as they do building stuff.

first time in longtime I've seen the core in bird eye view. All the caissons long buried, next stage should come in no time.

The construction manager at CASE must have OCD or something, but I'm impressed with how clean and organized they have kept the site. Hopefully the project will continue so their hard work can be appreciated.
